this does not work well at all. Intersection locator never showed anything.

not very accurate and it is really slow to update...

I was hoping to find a compass that would work like a standard magnetic compass. This app needs you to be moving (Like in a car). Not useful for finding your way on a hike. The customer service guy got back to me right away when I emailed him about this. (I thought I wasnt working it correctly) He told me that it only works if you are moving in a vehicle. It does find the nearest intersection and gives you your location in longitude and latitude if thats what you need.

Im new to the iPhone, but if you Download an app, shouldnt it sort of work? This one doesnt!

After leaving MSG with the dev crew I was suprised to receive a personal response so quickly. Looking forward to update. App does what it says.

Updated version works great! I will no longer wander lost thru life, now I will at least know the direction and speed. Better prepared for the crossroads ahead.

Just got it. Turned it on. Will not show correct bearing and says Im going 80 mph. Im glad I only wasted $.99. It may work better for you, but not for my new 3G iPhone. Repeatedly turned it on and off and it will not update, it will not show changes, even when moved 180 degrees. Frustrating. It just doesnt work.

I tried to synch this application and it would not work with my iTouch. I will be more vigilant in the future, but, for now, it looks like 99 wasted cents.

Works as described. Should use the magnometer in the 3gs for the compass. It would work faster.

I use this app all the time when Im driving or just walking around town. The perfect companion to a new 3GS!

Keep your $0.99 and buy something off the dollar menu! This app is like "Swim at your own risk. Lifeguard not on duty. " It gave me a bearing of 232...then I make a 1/4 turn to the left and the bearing becomes 82. I am not a rocket scientist, but that seems slightly off. It also took FOREVER for the bearing to update. Keep your money.

Works much much better...plus it has a cool interface. I know I am not supposed to use it and drive but I was - and it is pretty darn accurate on my 3Gs. Buy it, what do you have to lose?!

I wasnt blown away when i got this a few months ago, but there have been continuous updates...it keeps getting better all the time. Speed and heading are now extremely accurate, and you can force the lat-long coordinates to continually update. Kenji is very responsive, he is going to make an addition for lat-long readout in degrees-minutes-decimal minutes in a future update (that works for some of us mariners). I use this along with the Navionics chartplotter app, as the Travelling Companion is better for instantaneous lat-long and speed and heading. My own boat has a Garmin chartplotter, but I like having something portable when on a strange vessel. The new GUI looks sweet, the only thing I dont like about it is the compass rose, when heading SE or S or SW, the lettering is upside down. The lettering as found on a standard compass card (numbers and letters face the outside of the card) would be an improvement. All in all, a great app and worth more than 99 cents. BUY IT!

I am disappointed, though 99 cents cant elicit too much of same. It gives +/- of hundreds of meters. It is now where near reality in elevation, and it does not seem to update. It seems that Google gives much closer accuracy in my iPhone.

The compass does not work! I only get the lat and lng and I dont know if that is correct. Dont get it!!!
